	In The News Thursday, July 10, 2008 King: Court Ruling on CRP Will Hurt Farmers Washington, D.C. – Congressman Steve King issued the following statement on a U.S. Western District Court ruling halting all haying and grazing on 24 million acres of CRP land. “I am disappointed that an activist judge in Seattle would block opening CRP land to haying and grazing.  The USDA took steps necessary to ensure that the haying and grazing would be after the primary nesting season.” “The nesting season is effectively over except for a very small number of stragglers.
