King: Liberals Aren’t Shy About Raising Your Taxes and Spending Your Money |
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Steve King today voted NO on a federal budget proposal passed by the majority liberal Congress. The bloated budget, with more than $3 trillion in federal spending, includes the largest tax hike in history -$683 billion. The budget also includes spending increases of more than $276 billion over America’s current federal budget.
King issued the following statement on the new liberal budget:
“Led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco, liberals have been shockingly bold in telling Americans how they want to take more of our money through higher taxes. Most major proposals that the liberals passed in the last year have included a massive tax increase.”
“Their big spending bill takes an extra $2,100 per year from a family of four making $50,000. Liberals don’t understand, that higher taxes are bad. Bad for families, bad for children, bad for business, and bad for you.”
“Liberals are using this budget to raise the marriage penalty tax, raise the death tax, raise investment taxes and raise small business taxes. And to top it off, their budget proposal will slash the child tax credit for families.”
“America is at its best when the government spends less of our money and when we lower taxes so taxpayers can keep our hard earned money.”
