Washington, D.C. — Today Congressman Steve King voted against H.Res. 977 which said Americans should spend their rebate checks on American-made products and services from American-owned companies. While Congressman King supports American manufacturing, he believes that Congress should work on legislation that actually grows the economy and helps American manufacturing.

Real Energy Solutions
We have huge supplies of natural gas along with the ability to deliver a million barrels of crude oil a day coming out of the ANWR region. Instead this nation purchases at a high price energy that enriches people who are our sworn enemies. We enrich them and sit on top of our energy reserves.

We are witnessing an all-out assault on the integrity of our elections. The culmination was Governor Culver signing the same-day registration bill last year. Democrats had no purpose in mind other than to muddy and confuse the outcomes of elections. Even with evidence of fraud in Iowa’s elections, they have moved farther away from ensuring only eligible voters’ ballots are counted.
