KING NAMED ranking
member of immigration
subcommittee
WASHINGTON
- U.S. Congressman Steve
King (R-IA) has been
named Ranking Member of
the Immigration
Subcommittee of the
House Committee on
Judiciary by Rep. Lamar
Smith (R-TX), Ranking
Member of the Judiciary
Committee. The
Subcommittee has
jurisdiction over the
nation's immigration
policy.
"We must reform our
immigration laws so we
can secure America's
future," said King. "I
am committed to securing
our borders, fighting
amnesty and creating a
common sense immigration
policy that will prevent
illegals from taking
jobs away from
hard-working Americans.
We must find and deport
those illegals who
commit dangerous crimes
against Americans. We
have to ensure our
immigration laws are not
used against us by
terrorists."
